📀 JUNE 2018

He took to Instagram today and announced that he would be releasing his album titled, Scorpion, this June.  The news that an album wasn’t much of a surprise as Drake has been on fire, releasing two singles that seem as if they will be on his upcoming album.  His first single, “God’s Plan,” has been on top of the Billboard charts for 11 weeks straight, only to be dethroned by the new release of his other single “Nice for What.”

Both of these songs have arguably produced some of the best videos of the year, on top of them being chart-topping songs.  Both were masterfully orchestrated videos.  The premise of the God’s Plan’s video centers around him blowing a million dollar video budget, by giving it to the community of Miami in different ways.  From stopping single Mother’s on the street and giving them thousands of dollars in cash, to walking into a local grocery store and purchasing groceries for everyone in the store.  What a great way to blow a budget right?

His next video, “Nice for What,” features many of the most notable women at the moment right now.  Everyone from well known ballet dancer, Misty Copeland, to actress Yara Shahidi, the video is full of great cameos.  Throughout the video each lady is filmed and featured in her own individual scene giving each one of them their own light in the video.  To watch, see each video below.

Are you excited for the upcoming album?
