In the spirit of Coachella, it seems as if another artist has planned to release a new album before the festival. Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, is set to release his new album, My Dear Melancholy, tonight. This will be his fifth album released to the public.
I first got word of the new album at the beginning of March when Travis Scott tweeted about the upcoming album:
Abel new album is scray. It’s like when I first heard him for the first time. Fuckkkkkk !!!!!

A few weeks later The Weeknd posted some cryptic photos on Instagram eluding to the potential release of the album, and as of a few hours ago Abel posted the cover art with the caption “tonight,” sending all of his fans into a frenzy.
